The story behind the figures...
In the 1930s and 1940s, children did not have a multitude of toys to choose from. Surviving the depression and recycling many of the materials they did own for the war efforts depleted many toy supplies. The toys that were available were out of their price range. What were children to do? A lot of kids made their own toys, costumes, and what-nots from items around their house.
This is the basis of my line of wooden toys. They are made from clothes pins, toothpicks, wood scraps, and felt depicting comic book characters from that time. Each are heavily articulated and handcrafted.
Play sets and accessories are in the works. Custom orders are available upon request. Please use the "Contact" page to email requests.

Tracy and I had a great time at the con, and met a lot of great people. Thanks for stopping by and taking a card or even purchasing something. I like to see what interests people so I can fill whatever appetites may be out there. I did do a few commissions while at the con and it was the new tchotchkes that were the hit. So I wil be offering several sizes and options going forward. I will post pics to the gallery page.
Today I finally added a price list in the store for specific commission sizes. Take a look for those gift ideas so you can have time to get it there before the big day. Tchotchkes and mini figures I can finish in a day or two but full size posable figures take a week or more depending on complexity and accessories. If you are looking for something not on the list email me I love a challenge.
